Leap of faith

It’s been awhile, hasn’t it?

Things have been crazy! I was in Texas last weekend, touring and book-signing at several wonderful comic shops – Austin Books & Comics, Keith’s Comics (Mockingbird) and More Fun Comics & Games. It was great! It snowed in Texas, which was DUMB, but I ate so much good barbecue and talked at the University of North Texas about makin’ comics! I was on TV, too, so very early in the morning.

What’s next? Hoo boy! Well, Seeing Red is finally OUT and in the world! You can buy it! I hope that you will. I’m currently working on a one-shot based on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy as part of a big IDW crossover event this summer. After that? The second Adventure Time book, due out in the fall! Whoadang!

Also, I guess I’m going to start seeing a therapist. I owe a big thank you to a number of friends who gave me gentle nudges towards seeking help; one in particular who basically shoved me headfirst into it. I’m terrified out of my mind. I have a lot of reservations about therapy. I’m also kind of at my wits’ end, realizing more every day how incapable I am of letting go.

At the very least, it’ll make for good comics.

I have new prints – buy them, support my decadent lifestyle.
